I'd mentioned that I would be doing a series of recipes on chicken and other types of meats and here is the second one on the chicken series.

I came across this recipe on YouTube and decided to give it a try but adding my own unique flair. So, credit mostly goes to the amazing 'It's soo good' YouTuber. She's an amazing foodie though I don't enjoy the bit where she eats the food while I'm on the other side of the screen salivating!

I was initially a bit skeptical about the ingredients but once I made the chicken, they flew out of the bowl within minutes. I am actually surprised that I could get a couple of pictures before my son, husband and an amazing guest we had over, got the opportunity to ravage them.

I didn't add chilli to this recipe and because I really like Paprika and Garlic Powder and I also desired my son to enjoy them. But I bet it still tastes great with chili powder. I made a big batch of the spice and I have used it on fish and goat ribs and you'll just have to wait till I share those recipe's on how they turned out :D!

Ok, I'm now done blubbering as to how awesome these chicken wings were and I'll go straight to the recipe.

What You Need:

  1. 1/2 Kg chicken wings
  2. 1 1/2 Tbsp Spice Mix
  3. 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  4. 1 tsp baking powder
  5. 1 cup water
  6. Oil for frying
How To Make Them:

  1. Cut your wings into two pieces and place them in a large bowl
  2. Pour the spice mix into the chicken wings and mix them
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cup of All Purpose Flour with the baking powder
  4. Add the flour and water into the bowl with the chicken and mix until they are all evenly coated
  5. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. (You know your oil is ready for use when the tip of a wooden spoon inserted into the oil produces bubbles)
  6. Place pieces of the chicken wings into the hot oil, one at a time, but don't crowd the frying pan and don't separate the pieces
  7. Fry till golden brown and then turn. At this point, you can now separate the pieces of chicken, if they had clumped together.
  8. Remove from the oil and allow them to cool.
  9. You can serve this as a snack or as a side for a nice vegetable rice.

Bon Apetit!
